Juneathon Day 1




With the huge mosquito population this year, I won’t be running as much.  If I go out it is with repellent sprayed on my body and I don’t like to do that very often.  So, I accepted these 3 challenges on Tribesports.  Today I did Day 1.

  1. Good luck! Burpees are SO hard! That is an intense schedule, but it looks very effective. I made it 20 days through a burpee challenge last summer. You have inspired me to try again!! My kids laugh at me when I do burpees because the push up part doesn’t look very standard, so I do them in private. Thanks for the push! 🙂

    • I remember burpees from school, only they were called squat thrusts. I do not look attractive while doing them but the cabin is so small that Michael will have to endure watching me from time to time. Right now I having such a hard time getting rid of this extra weight. Must be hormones and age. Hoping this will do some wonderful trick and I will again be back to just a bit chubby. Glad to push! With Juneathon, I will update daily. That helps.

  2. So let me get this straight. On day 30 you will be doing 100 burpees, 250 squats, several push ups, a couple of tricep dips along with bicep curls? Please let me know how it goes.

  3. Whoa! Good luck with this program and take care of your knees. Squats ruined mine ten years ago and I’ll never do them again. Go easy and have fun!

    • I’ve been doing squats, on and off, for years. You really need to do them with the correct form or you can hurt your knees. Done correctly they are a great exercise to strengthen the muscles around the knees.
      Normally the only thing that hurts when I do them is a soreness in my thighs. So I will be careful and go easy. Thanks for your concern.

    • Trust me, I have given up on bikini ready. I would be happy with losing enough weight to fit into last years summer clothes and then 10 more after that to fit in to most of my clothes. I hate the thought of buying new “bigger” clothes.
